It rained in Shreveport today; scattered thunderstorms were predicted all day, so I carried around my raincoat like a talisman, but the rain only fell during my first walk from car to office. After that, the air was just thick with humidity, and every window was fogged from air-conditioning. So hard to breathe! but that's Shreveport. Sure did make Centenary's campus all the lovelier--raindrops perpetually resting on the azalea leaves.

Sorry I haven't been in touch more often. Thinking of you often, though, as I still have your photo on the console in my truck. BTW, I am helping Jered move his last big stuff onto a moving truck to Austin tomorrow after Watermark. The house has been sold and he has 2 job offers in Austin!
