Hola and Good Morning! This is Jenni, Scott's sister, writing today from Classic's coffee cafe. I have to tell you about the bargains I found!! Yesterday while Scott was taking his siesta, I went to the mall (called Patio Omas). Because of the late night culture, everyone takes siesta from 1-4, and all the shops and boutiques close down - except for the mall. Here's the great bargains I found:
-Lacoste shirt - 33.00 US dollars
-Fun sparkly earrings - 6.00 US Dollars
-Silver Bracelets - .30 Cents each
-Candle for Scott's apartment (to take out the guy's dorm room smell) - 3.00 US dollars (it is ver hard to find scented candles here...only 1 shop has them all the other shops carry unscented candles...most people use incense)
-Ice Cream with all the toppings and a choice of 50 flavors - 0.75 US Dollars
-Manicure - 6.00 US Dollars
So, it is your choice...siesta or bargain hunting.....

ok, now i'm laughing at one of the spanish phrases i learned in first year spanish that i didn't think i'd ever actually use in the real world - ¡qué gangas!
but alas, not a chai tea latte to be found anywhere. of course, i think i could be mollified by some 75¢ ice cream with all the toppings.
glad you're having so much fun, even if scott's sleeping the afternoon away. :-)
