stuff from argentina

my posting has plummeted below the minimum amount detectable by the seismographs.
tomorrow, katie and kevin, our summer interns leave. they have been here 2 months. that means me and jaclyn will get some rest, as their level of energy runs circles around us... but we will miss them. on tuesday the 7th i will be heading over to mexico to get a little vacation in.. which, my body has desperately been needing, after too many nights of low sleep.
about a month ago, we were fanatics about chess. it seems like we were always having some serious matches with all of our friends. this month the game of choice has changed to NCAA football 2006 for the XBOX. We have had all kinds of grudge matches, and the argentines are learning this "weird sport with a bunch of rules".

MARATHON 2009: Micah strange, Jason Lowe, Wes Moulden, Tigger Dennison, Shelby Dennison, Chris Pattillo and myself have all accepted the 2009 marathon challenge. In january of 2009, we will all be participating in the Houston Marathon. Anyone and everyone is welcome to join in on the shenanigans!! what do you have to lose.
We have teams divided into the Mrs. dennison vs. the Mr. dennisons, we have a league commisioner, Jenn Strange, and we are working on a t-shirt committee and a cheering staff..... if the last few sentences have made no sense to you, that makes sense.

hope you have a great time in mexico. i'm a bit jealous, but i guess i'll be getting a very mini vacation tomorrow as i drive down to san antonio to see off a friend who's moving to notre dame. oh, did i mention i'll be driving down there in my "new" car? and i will be stopping in san marcos to see harry on thursday morning for breakfast and austin to see jered for coffee after that.

by the way, the link for the marathon didn't work. very interested in learning more. one of these days i want to train for a marathon, though if i run in a marathon you run in, it'll be a totally different marathon - the slightly faster than an old lady crossing the street marathon. :-)

have a great time in mexico, and don't forget to send / post some pictures. and don't forget my phone number in case you meet any models from dallas while you're there.

sorry about the marathon link. i miscounted the number of yards in a marathon and my clever 26285 should have really been 26385 (which is taken). in any case, go here and see what we've got. and join us, if you wish.

hey, i just realized we're talking about january 2009 for that marathon. i need to think about it a little more, but i think that might just be doable. 4 months training - no way! 16 months training - most definitely possibly doable. besides, aren't marathons supposed to be easier at 37 than 36?

Hey, Jenni and I were looking at South American cities on Wikipedia. We looked at Cordoba and found a link to your American football group. Did you know that was on Wikipedia?

let's see about this. after a marathon: everything hurts. at 37: one year closer to everything hurting. i think you could be right about this.
